I'm Dreaming of a White... Christmas...?
Well, it missed Christmas, but YES, it SNOWED, it the UK!
*SHOCK HORROR*
Thursday morning I woke up to FIVE INCHES, YES, FIVE (!) Inches of Snow!
So me and my sisters spent the morning throwing snowballs at eachother and my Dad's bedroom window, (he's real sleepy ^.~) and clearing the snow off of the car, which we had to use not long afterwards to go to Delamere!
So, in the car to Delamere was great, there was snow all over the place which is so rare for the UK!
We get to Delamere though, and there's about one inch of snow, not much at all really.
It was just me, my sisters and Ruth there though, (Nico, Rebecca and Elizabeth were snowed in at their house and Jacob was in lots of traffic) so we all went up Old Pale (a small hill beside Delamere Forest) and we all threw snowballs... at the small annoying boys, naturally. ^.~
When we got to a large slope we stopped and made, guess what? Snow Creatures...? You bet!
Me Em and Jacob, (he had finally arrived by this point) made a... Snow Penguin!
It was kinda cute, but also kinda weird...
Snow Penguins designed to look like the Wallace and Gromit Penguin, don't work. You need proper tools for that, not numb, gloved hands. :P
After a while everyone headed back, except for Karen, Jacob and a nice guy called John who was doing Delamere instead of Kate, 'cause she wasn't there, so he stayed behind to keep an eye on us, I say us because me and Em also stayed back to keep Jacob company.
Then of course I was pelted with snowballs from Em and Jacob, and it took them five minutes of my screams to finally stop...
I was also still suffering from that nasty cold, so I couldn't retaliate very well either... Nasty people... <.<
Then we used a huge snowball that Jacob and Karen had rolled up earlier to create... a... Snow Monster!
(Goodness, the cold must really have been getting to us!)
Then we quickly went back to the hut and, while everyone else was having Cadbury's chocolate powder with hot water, me and Em met up with Eleanor and my Mum in the Café to have real hot chocolates. yumm.... ^^
After all that we all went back to the car park to find all the kids hurling snowballs at Gemma (not me) and John, the poor people, they were doomed from the start...
They must've taken 15 whole minutes of punishment before they finally surrendered and went back inside.
I was feeling real tired by this point and sat in the car waiting for my family to quit talking to people.
I was told that I was looking really pale and I felt kinda pale, I'd just been suffering from a really bad cold and I had been building snow creatures out in the snow, (ah I forgot to mention that a really bad snowstorm started up while we were doing so) and none of the snowballs I threw had any power in them, I felt so weak!
So we got back home pretty quick and we had some nice soup for lunch. Hmmm...
So that's my story of our time in the snow, we still have some snow actually, but it's more like a small mound of ice in our garden. ^.~
Today's been pretty boring, I've been playing the Sims 2, watching movies, (just watched Disney's Beauty and the Beast, which was nice) and reading and drawing. And Em and El went crazy with a big pillow fight in the lounge, but that's about it.
Whoa, getting real tired now, better go, I want to get some more reading done before I nod off!
