MCM Anime and Manga Expo!

Last Saturday, Emi, Eleanor and I went to the MCM Midlands Expo in Telford. It was the first expo I've ever been to and I LOVED IT! :D

Where to start? First, Emi and Eleanor were dressed as Kairi/Sora from KH2 and Yuna from FFX respectively. My grampa had helped make these awesome keyblades and Yuna's staff which I spent at least four hours painting all of them. They were an absolute hit.
Everyone was like, "Where did you get the Keyblade!?" "Can I hold it!?" "Take a picture!" "Will you pose for a picture!?" "Wheee, it's a keyblade!" etc, etc...
We took so many photos it was unreal. Oh me? I cosplayed myself with my own 'Final Fantasy World' T-Shirt (I own that site btw). :P
Emi and I entered in some artwork for Sweatdrop Studio's manga competition, (with some amazing art prizes!) Deepsies entered her Sora Funny Face picture and I submitted my Luminare Luna. I hope I do well! ^^
I also spoke with Emma Vieceli from Sweatdrop studios for ages with my dad about manga and career opportunities, it was fantastic.

There were soooo many cosplayers! It was amazing! Some of the costumes were so cool! There was Darth Vader and his squad of white plastic soldiers, an awesome 'Alien' cosplayer from the movie, Hellsing, Naruto and Full-Metal Alchemist cosplayers, people as KH2 and FFVII characters and even a girl as the wolf from Okami! She won the cosplay comp. 'cause the costume was sooo good!
Emi had to pose for loads of pictures when she dressed as Kairi and Sora, it was so fun, she even got literally glomped by fangirls, eeep!

Emi and Eleanor were even interviewed by an anime company about their costumes, which will be on youtube soon apparently. :P

I got lots of manga: the first two volumes of Suikoden III (which is really good) and Pink is for Girls and Blue is for Boys by Sweatdrop Studios. Also some FF posters, one of which is on the back of my door right now, it's so cool!
My dad also got Warwick Davis' signature on the front cover of a 'Willow' book, you know, from the old film.

You can check out some of the pictures here on: Emi's MCM Expo Photobucket Gallery

In short, I had a blast! I'd totally go again next year!

Oh yeah, I went to a concert for 'The Feeling' in Liverpool last Thursday night, they were excellent. 'Cept for the lack of their 'Strange' song which I was looking forward too. XD
But otherwise they were great!
It was my Dad's birthday on the same day too, and what with costume and keyblade making it's been a busy week!

And today I'll be staying over at my Nan's for a few nights, so I won't be able to do any digital art for a bit. :cries:
But no matter, I'll just have to take some paper, pencils and pens. :P

Oh, and did I mention I got FFXII three days before it's release? Yep, a PR company who works for Square-Enix gave me a promo copy, free of charge. ^^
So I've been playing that and Baldur's Gate lately, (I got the latter a few days ago from Amazon) they're both pretty good, though it's too early on to give a proper verdict.
Loving Balthier and Fran from FFXII though, they are just too cool! :D

Anyway, lunch beckons, see ya and thanks for reading!
